Google Targets Link Sellers In Recent Link Network Bust

Your Rankings Drop Around May 15th? May Be Due To Link Networks Google Broken

Last Wednesday, Matt Cuts has announced on Twitter that Google taken “action on various thousand link sellers in a paid link that push PageRank network."

Link Networks Google Busted

Google did this similar activity before also. We don’t know which link network affected due to latest action. Various readers were asking me if SAPE links was hit again, but others are asking about a network named ghost. Frankly, I am not sure about this. It looks like it may be carious smaller networks.

I am confirmed about that last Wednesday (May 15th), numerous webmasters began tocomplain about position declines in WebmasterWorld. Here are some quotes:
Also, seeing a significant drop in ranks for a different domain I mentioned in another thread that I was using to test junk links. It's possible we could be seeing a penguin update.
I am also seeing a decent drop on the 14th which seems to be continuing today.
Complaints is still coming and going on.

I am searching out which networks were huts but I can’t look to nail it down to any particular one.

There is a forum Black Hat Worldover there people are talking about it but one tell mentioned anything particular and cover outside of few guesses.

Anyone know which link network(s) were kiss by Google?

Google Matt Cutts Doesn't Give Link Value From This Web site

Google's Cutts: Buying Links Doesn't Hurt???

Google Matt Cutt Buying Links Videos

A very recent video from Google's lead of search spam , Matt Cutts named If a website connecting to mine gets detected selling links , what goes on to my site ? That video essentially clarifies what happens if a site that sells links and Google knows it , what happens to a site that has links from the link selling site ?

In a nutshell , little .

Matt Cutts produced three points in this video :
  1. The link seller's web site should observe a toolbar PageRank downgrade 30% - 50% .
  2. The link seller's web site loses the power to send PageRank going forward .
  3. The links directing to your web site from the link seller's web site shall no lontger be counted and no longer help your web site.
But what about link purchasing penalties ? Well , undoubtedly Matt didn't talk about it in his 90 second video. It undoubtedly , regardless of my title , doesn't mean that Google won't dump out a penalty to someone who evidently buys links . But "typically" this is how Google manages it , they simply halt those paid links from assisting you , which can often feel like apenalty .

Here the Video:

Matt Cutts Says Panda Algorithm Will Get Softer

Google To Soften The Panda Algorithm

So I discussed few mints before , Matt Cutts told us that ten SEO transforms coming to Googleby the end of this summer season . Amongst those variations is slightly softening the influence of the Panda algorithm for websites which might be in the "gray area" or perhaps "border" of to be impacted by the Panda algorithm.

Matt Cutts , Google's head of search spam , said 5 minutes and 3 seconds into the video thatGoogle is putting extra indications to check out further quality metrics that may decrease the impact of the Panda algorithm for those websites in the gray area . This is with a warning!

Here is the transcript:
We are looking at Panda and seeing if we can find some additional signals, and we think we've got some to help refine things for sites that are kind of in the border zone, the gray area a little bit, And so if we can soften the affect a little bit, for those sites, that we believe have got some additional signals of quality, that will help sites that were previously affected - to some degree.

The question is, what "degree" will these websites look an advantage in ranking after the Panda algorithm is softened for them? That is the big issue.

After that I took the screen shot of Matt’s Matt's facial expression when he said that and look what I mean? Would be possible this impact blast your site or just a very soft impact on those who have been impacted by Panda? I am doubtful.

Nevertheless it will likely be attractive to follow and look at what happens over the after that couple of months.

Matt apparently said the Panda algorithm will be softened for a few but the issue is, how much so?

WordPress or Blogger: Which is Effective?

WordPress and Blogger

It is a community of bloggers using WordPress, Blogspot and other blogging platform. Here is the most discussing on which platform is good for blogging either it’s WordPress or Blogger, no one know correctly. As all of you know that few bloggers like BlogSpot because of less tech hassles and remaining bloggers like WordPress due to its features. When somebody ask me about blogging platform, which platform I should begin with, here is my answer.

My suggestion is always goes to WordPress.com for a while, and once you get habituated with blogging, you should select a new blog on self-hosted WordPress platform. If anyone wants to use blogger.com then use it, as your Launchpad platform, but kindly don’t use rest of life.

I could say that, because I started my blogging life with BlogSpot, and afterward shifted to WordPress.org. It was a hell lot of learning experience back then, but these days learning WordPress is quite simple through the help of videos. Anyways, in this article I will discuss a quick assessment of WordPress vs BlogSpot, and would likely explain under what condition which platform you should choose.

WordPress Vs. Blogger: Which Blogging platform to prefer?

Why and why not Blogger:

Blogger or BlogSpot platform is very handy, whenever you just like to start a blog to share your thoughts. When you are not blogging for money, or you require a platform which doesn’t really need technical know-how, BlogSpot is really good. There are lots of restrictions of BlogSpot in terms of functionalists, SEO benefit, but overall if you just need a platform to start a blog with almost ZERO cost, BlogSpot is the right choice.

At the same time, if you are blogging for money, publicity or for personalization yourself, BlogSpot is not the good choice. Reason being, you have limited control on appearance in search engines, and in due time, you are limited with adding new characteristics. I have read it often times, that Blogger is Google product, and it gives more SEO advantages, and it’s a pure rumour. It doesn’t matter if you utilize WordPress, Blogger, Drupal or any other platform; SEO is decided by how you configure your complete site for search engines. In Blogger platform, we have minimal control, and despite of the fact, they applied new SEO features, BlogSpot still is deficient in in SEO optimization.

Conclusion, Blogger service is better than WordPress, when you will be creating a blog, for your passion, and you are fine with the minimal functions offered by Blogger platform.

WordPress will let you do whatever you wanted, but at the same time you need to manageyour own blog. You need to deploy WordPress on your server, and maintain your blog. It may sound technical, but with such an amazing support from WordPress community, you can always learn everything in no-time. Getting began with WordPress may require some effort, in terms of watching videos, learning how to add a plugin, getting use to dashboard, but is isn’t the same thing we learned on Blogger?

If you are starting with blogging with mind-set to allow it to become well known, make money from it, you should always go with self-hosted WordPress blog. If you are a periodic writer, or a hobby-blogger, BlogSpot is the best pick for you.

The following is a convenient chart from HowJoyful, explaining feature difference betweenBlogSpot vs. WordPress.com vs. Self-hosted WordPress blog:

Blogger Or WordPress

Matt Cutts on Blogger or WordPress for SEO

Matt Cutts is not merely Google Engineer, but he is also the head of Google Web spam team. He is one of those guys, who educate normal users like you and me, about what Google expect from a Website, and how search engine operates. In the past, I have shared numerous webmaster videos from Matt, and it always assisted me to learn something totally new. In recent video, a user asked him “Which is a better choice in terms of SEO: WordPress or Blogger“, and Matt responded his query, with the following video:

Matt Cutts, usually uses WordPress medium for his own blog, and he pointed out that Blogger is good for new users, and very simple to start out, and for casual blogging it’s fantastic. WordPress gives you more power, and you can customize it according to your need.

Considering SEO convenience between Blogger or WordPress, both of them are nearly the same with default installation. WordPress default installation is not SEO friendly, but you can always make your WordPress blog SEO friendly, through the help of plugins available everywhere.

Judgment

Blogger platform is excellent when you are looking for a simple blog, and WordPress platform is amazing, when you are opting for professional blogging, creating a business blog, or planning to earn from your blog.
