Google Putting up Brand Name In Front Of Search Result Web Page Title Tag: The Latest Ranking Factor?

Colons in Page Titles: Google Appending Brand Ahead OfSearch Results Title

It looks like Google are either doing a test or have recently had a change on how they display page titles and are right now utilizing colons as page title separators. Every SEO is aware of that Google handle (-) and (|) as keyword separators, and it now seems that they may want us to begin to use colons.

This below query is for site:gordoncampbell.co.uk ,as you are will see Google is displaying the page title as ‘Gordon Campbell: Glasgow SEOPPC & Social Media Consultant’ but the page title he has put is ‘Glasgow SEO, PPC & Social Media Consultant – Gordon Campbell’ so it seems that Google is rearranging his page title to present it improve on the search engine results pages.

The following query is on weights York Fitness, Google has brought us with the page title ‘York Fitness: Gym Equipment & Machines | Weights | Boxing’ but the page title that York Fitness has set is ‘Gym Equipment & Machines | Weights | Boxing Equipment | York Fitness’ and truth be told, Google’s version of the page title looks far better.

York Fitness Search Brand Snippet

Now if you see at the source code of this website you will see the title is not written this way:

Brand Title Tag of York Fitness

&
Ymedialabs Search Result

Try a search for the keyword weights and you will find that Amazon already generates page titles in this format and have done for some time. Have they done tests on this at some point and found that page headings have a higher CTR in this format? Have they discovered that page titles like this are inclined to rank well? Who is aware of but I wouldn't be surprised.

Anyone else noticed this? Extra instances would be grateful. If you ever discovered this useful you should consider and sharing it on social media platforms.

Now Google Isn’t Blocking Domains In Search Results, No Longer Works

You Can't Block Website on Google Search Result
Website Blocked
Now you can’t block any websites or blogs from displaying in the Google Search EngineResults Page (SERP) outcomes no more time works.

I have also seen the first report which was came out a week ago through Google Web Search Help where Kousha, said that "this was a known issue a while back." Good, it still looks to be an issue.

I attempt to duplicate it and I was able to two various ways.

First, as everyone used the blocking sites option through Google search engine but this morning when I searched something then I realized that Google removed the blocking sites option.

Second, when the first option didn’t work correctly then I went directly to blocked websitessearch setting, added www.proflowers.com to the list and hold a minute or two.

Google Blocked Search Result

I then looked for [flowers] and the first outcome was www.proflowers.com:

Google Blocked Search Result Broken

Notice: Nothing personal against the website in the screenshot. Just a test, which I removed from the blocked list.

Before 2012, I had seen the bug where you were unable to o unblock blocked sites – that doesn’t work but you can no more time block sites in Google.

Google +1 Button Loses Search Visibility

Google’s most fresh tweak to the SE results page layout drops the Google +1 button fromconstant visibility. Searchers will now see the button when they vacillate over a SERP entry.

As noted by Google OS, the recently applied update cleans up the SERP layout by receding the +1 button from demonstration in most of the instances it previously showed up. There are two elisions: the on-hover visibility, where the button now pops up in its "standard" place when your cursor is lay on top of approximate any type of result (nested links won't get one, though); and any site you've already +1'd.

The +1 button was released in experimental form back in March and was made available to webmasters in June. The button saw wide adoption from webmasters and has since spread to a variety of Google properties, including News, Image Search, and Shopping.

The minor design update that hides the +1 button also brings us a new search preferences page which follows the look and feel that Google has been implementing on other properties. In addition to redesigns on everything from Gmail to Google Reader to YouTube, Google is making their navigation consistent between all properties.

The choice to update the preferences window and do a little bit of a clean-up on the SERP itself fits well with the recent design priorities of the company.

What else do you think Google should clear out of its SERP? What do you like, love, dislike, and hate about Google's new design philosophy? And what do you hope gets an update next? Leave us your thoughts in the comments, below.

Crossed Out Keywords In Google's Similar Searches

Google Logo
Steven Weldler published a possible fresh Google web search feature on Google plus. If you look for a four to five phrases keywords and Google can’t search too several matches, Googlewill display you "results for same searches." Now that isn't fresh feature.

The question is what seems to be fresh, is that it displays “more outcomes for X” and crosses off keywords that it didn't match on.

For instance, a look for [long island man jump stan] brings back a result from the New York Times and under it shows "More outcomes for long island man jump stan."

Here is an example:

Getting Top Ranking in Search Pages

From A Dream To Reality!

SEO Ranking

Every entrepreneur dreams of a day when his website appears in the top ranking on theGoogle search page for a particular keyword. If this happens, you will have money rolling in faster than you can even imagine in your wildest dreams. But the moment you open your eyes, dream is over. Honestly, there is no limit to fantasizing; however, making the website appear on the top spot in popular search engines is a continuous struggle.

It’s not like you can never be ranked in top position. In fact, it’s very much possible if you know the right recipe. By writing and submitting SEO content content in popular directoriesand embedding suitable keywords to anchor link it to your site can be some of the first steps. In anchor linking your keyword becomes the clickable text that leads the visitor conveniently to your site. Hence, there is no need to use those extra words like click here.

You may also feel the need to hire some SEO servicethat will help you decide the most attractive keyword phrases for your site. Some people think of using one word keywords. This can bring some traffic to your site but it won’t be a targeted traffic. When a visitor types a single word in the search engine, it’s usually the beginning of a search. For instance a prospect looking for shoes will type in more than just shoes. He can enter jogging shoes or running shoes in the browser. But this is not all. If your product or service has more categories then it’s important you optimize your site for all possible keywords

Besides, if you are a brand selling some particular products or services then your brand name along with the category of shoes will make unique keywords. By using such keywords, you will get closer to the target audience
